Food Pantry

Every week, the La Mesa Food Pantry helps 80–100 households put food on the table. Open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., we provide food with dignity, compassion, and no questions asked. For nearly 20 years, we have partnered with Roadrunner Food Bank to serve our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. 

Everyone is welcome.

• No identification required

• No proof of need required

• Food typically includes canned goods, pasta, rice, beans, cereal, and other shelf-stable pantry items

• Fresh fruits and vegetables may also be available, depending on deliveries and donations as well as bread, desserts, and other ready-to-eat foods

• Ring bell at church parking lot gate for entry 

• Wheelchair accessible & Restrooms available​

The La Mesa Food Pantry relies on the generosity of our community to continue serving our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Maintaining our current level of service requires approximately $1,500–$2,500 each month. Financial contributions help us purchase needed food items and supplies, respond to changing needs, and sustain this ministry throughout the year.

We are also grateful for donations of food and other useful items, including:

• Can openers

• Reusable shopping bags (heavy duty plastic or fabric bags preferred)

• Personal hygiene items

• Small bars of soap

• Toothbrushes

• Toothpaste

• Tissues

• Hand sanitizer
