Worship at La Mesa Sunday Morning Worship at 10:30 AM Worship at La Mesa is genuinely Reformed in character, lively in spirit, and musically diverse. We usually celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month. The music features the congregation, a choir, pipe organ, piano, bells, guitar, flute, drums, and occasionally other ensembles. Traditional church hymns and anthems form the foundation of worship, but the music is also modern in feel, drawing from world music, gospel, spirituals, folk, and other traditions. We are also informed by Celtic music and liturgy and have special services at Christmas and Easter that are Celtic in spirit and contemplative in tone. Sunday Evening Worship at 5:00 PM A Taizé Service is held in the Prayer Room (in the back of the Sanctuary) on Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM. This intimate service is filled with music and with silence.
