Come to a place where Christ's love, kindness, and justice reign. Questioning is encouraged!
Sunday services begin each week at 10:30 AM.
On the five Sundays of Lent (beginning March 10), we will have the opportunity to participate in two different spiritual practices that can help us to grow.
On Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM in the Conference Room, we will be privileged to learn Beginning Meditation Practice (seated in chairs), taught by Senior Kadampa practitioner, Jeane Graves. Under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, renowned Buddhist Meditation Master, Jeane has been teaching and practicing Kadampa Buddhism for many years, and we are excited to benefit from her teaching.
On Sunday evenings at 6:15 in the Library, Trey Hammond will lead a study of Celtic Spiritual Practices using various resources. Trey has studied Celtic Spirituality in depth, and it is a significant part of his personal spiritual practice. Each week, a light supper will be served at 5:45 PM.
Our Mission Statement
La Mesa Presbyterian Church seeks to further Christ's unfolding reign of justice and compassion. Our name, La Mesa, symbolizes the vision of our life together. At this table, God is worshiped, barriers are broken down, children are nurtured, hospitality is extended, community is created, learning is valued, and all who come are fed.
Our Inclusion Statement
At La Mesa, we welcome everyone to worship with us. We invite into full participation all people who profess faith in Jesus Christ, regardless of age, race, national origin, gender identity, sexual/affectional orientation, physical or mental challenge, or economic status. While respecting tradition, we endeavor to use inclusive language and images, metaphors and music, which reflect the love and mystery of God, as well as the rich diversity of the people of God.
